Apple iPad....Part I

This blog is particularly for people who are not aware of what exactly is iPad. They might have heard it from their friends  but still don't know what it is. This particular blog is not only for the techies who knows it but for the novice who don’t know what it is all? In daily life we heard about so many apps but we don’t even know them exactly what it is. For my last blog on  HTC Launching Smartphones with Facebook Buttons. i got many pageviews that it reached almost 300 in a day from many countries but no comments :( .Thanks for viewing it. So this is something you all like to know about Apple iPad. What is it? What are all applications present inside this iPad? You will get it in parts as putting it on a single blog will get boring. I have tried to make it one for you from many places.

Apple iPad:

The story of iPad started before the development of iPhones (before 2007) but for the sake of Apple's competitiveness they had to put a hold on it.

What is an iPad?

iPad is a personal mobile computer which we often call it as a tablet computer developed by Apple, in fact, it is also designed and marketed by Apple. It’s a handheld used for music, movies, web, emails, books, journals, periodicals, etc and various applications are there.

Weight: 1.5 pounds (650gms)

Its size and weight lies between smartphones and laptops. It’s only 1.5 pounds, so light-weight for traveling.

With this iPad announced on 27^th January,2010 and released on 3^rd April,2010,Apple sold 4.19 millions iPad during the second quarter of 2K10.The Apple iPad has also gained 95% shares of the table PC sales at the end of d second quarter. The SDK is same as that of iPhones iOS v 3.2. Now Apple released iOS 4.2.1 for iPad.

Versions and releases:

The Wi-Fi version of the iPad went on sale in the United States on April 3, 2010.

The Wi-Fi + 3G version was released on April 30.

The iPad was launched officially in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Spain, UK on May 28 and in Austria, HongKong, Luxemborg, Belgium, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore, NewZealand on July 23,2010. Israel briefly prohibited importation of the iPad because of concerns that its Wi-Fi might interfere with other devices. The iPad was launched officially in China on September 17 and in Malaysia, SouthKorea on November 30, 2010. iPad was released . The iPad was launched in India on January 28, 2011. The 16GB iPad costs Rs.27,900 and the 3G variant of the same is Rs.34,900.

According to an internal blog of Apple iPad2 might be released in March or April and iPad3 analysis has already started.
